UK underground RnB singer Bluey Robinson has a massive amount of hype surrounding him considering that he has released hardly any material, but here is his first official project and it does not disappoint!.
I haven’t listened to it properly yet but it sounds really good so far, apart from a slightly dodgy mash up of Flo Rida’s Club Can’t Handle Me and Kings Of Leon’s Use Somebody which lets be honest, is never going to work. His debut album should be out somewhen in 2011 and I will definitely be checking it out and he it could be his year, considering he is already signed to Sony!
Tracklist:
Intro
Club Can’t Handle Me/Use Somebody (Kings Of Leon & Flo Rida Remix)
I Know (Ryan Leslie Remix)
Hit ‘n’ Run
SuperFreak ft. Master Shortie (who does a very bad Nicki Minaj impression!!)

Fresh from debuting some tracks on 1Xtra radio, Sneakbo continues "Buzzin" with the free download of his Im Buzzin mixtape below. Sneakbo also yesterday released a video for 'Ima Boss' taken from the mixtape, well worth checking out below. Sneakbo is riding his Jetski right to the top of UK Rap and beyond as the buzz he has right now is crazy. Surpassing most that we have seen so far.
The rapstar has been putting the work in so far and has been tagged one of the uk's hottest rappers by many in the music industry. On the Mixtape expect to find nothing more and nothing less as the rapper simply teases his listeners and gives them a taster with covers of various international artists.
Recently, Pittsburgh hip-hop music has been put on the map from the constant and consistent success of Wiz Khalifa and the emergence of rising young rap star Mac Miller. There efforts have placed Pittsburgh in an ideal location for rap music and rising rap artists. With these emcees paving the way for new talent, you can bet that there will plenty of rappers chasing the spotlight to complete Pittsburgh’s trifecta of successful rap artists. With that being said, I would like to introduce Devin Miles. Amassing over 30,000 downloads within the first three weeks of its release on April 15, 2011 the EP has been very successful. His debut video for "Spaced Out" which was shot and directed by Mac Miller's acclaimed videographer Rex Arrow also reached 20,000 views in two weeks before it was taken down by Youtube. You can still view the video on Rex Arrow's vimeo page herehttp://vimeo.com/22290859. Esteemed publications such as The Source has also mentioned is name (http://tinyurl.com/3dcd5bp)
Born SilvanoRoyne-Stuurman in Cape Town, South Africa in 1986,
Astrixxis the eldest of three musically talented siblings. His brother Mikhail is an established organist and classical vocalist who sings in the London Bach Choir. His youngest brother is a bassoon player. The Stuurman children were raised in church and brought up almost solely to the sounds of classical music.
Astrixx began playing the violin at the tender age of six and by the age of 12, he
had become one of the first black child musicians to play in the Junior Philharmonic Orchestra in South Africa at the time. Alongside Astrixx’s classical influences were Motown, Tracy Chapman, Bob Marley and producers Quincy Jones and Dr Dre. The Stuurman family moved to London in 2000 where Astrixx continued to play the violin and sing in the choir.
Astrixxsettled into British urban culture almost immediately. Listening to and experimenting in musical genres such as garage, drum and bass, dubstep and UK hip hop and grime, he quickly began to develop a unique and distinctive sound using start-up programs, such as Fruity Loops and Reason. At the age of 19 and after much deliberation, Astrixxdecided to follow his parents’ advice and pursue a more academic route by applying to study Sociology and International Relations at the University of Westminster, London. However, on the day that Astrixxwas due to begin his first week of lectures at university, he had a sudden change of heart and bravely decided to follow his passion for music despite his parents wishes.
From that point onwards, Astrixxnever looked back. Taking four private lessons with an esteemed sound engineer, working alongside industry mentors who guided him through his journey and subscribing to Sound and Sound magazine, Astrixxhas gone on to produce for artists such as Devlin, Smiller, Griminal, Ghetts as well as produce remixes featuring Wretch 32, Chipmunk and Talay Riley.
Astrixx is currently working on his own album project alongside singer/songwriter Heidi Rush where his classical, dub-step and pop influences (among other interests) shape the new and innovative sound he has created.
