DaVinChe releases the first promo track 'Jay-Z Money' featuring Sophie Sof, from his debut album 'Open Minded'which is released in Spring 2012. The producer, singer/songwriter and rapper from Sidnam, South East London is best known for his 'grime' producer-credentials. DaVinChe has been making music for over a decade and has worked with a plethora of UK talent including Tinie Tempah, Kano, Tinchy Stryder, Wretch 32 and Cleo Sol to mention a few.
Considered as one of the pioneers of Grime music alongside artists such as Wiley and Kano, at the age of 16 DaVinChe found himself in a unique position amongst his musical peers, his role as a producer during the 'golden-age' of Grime. He produced the cult instrumental 'Buzz Lightyear' and 'Eyes on You' for Crazy Titchand in 2005, produced a track that would change the face of Grime music; Kano's 'P's and Q's'. The track was Kano's debut solo release on 12” vinyl and became a massive underground hit. DaVinChe's relationship with Kano was steadfast, and he ended up producing several tracks for album 'Home Sweet Home' including 'Brown Eyes'.
Tipped by Wire Magazine at the time as a 'talent to watch' and picked out by underground trend magazine's such asRWD, DaVinChe continued to break boundaries with this new sound, by infusing it with other genres popular at the time. He went on to produce Sadie Ama's 'Let Me Take You Away' and Tinchy Stryder's 'Something About Your Smile' and 'Breathe' and Tinie Tempah's 'Tears'. DaVinChe used his skills as a trained guitarist and pianist to provide the grime element for ‘Urban Classic’, the BBC’s ground-breaking attempt to fuse grime with jazz and classical. 'Grime has given me a unique sound to work with, a different way of putting music together'
For the past year DaVinChe has been honing his debut album, a mix of various genres and artists includingEtta Bond, Don Strapzy (Dru Blue), Kano, Cleo Sol, Parris Wright, Wretch 32 and Shola Ama. Becoming more involved with his music as an artist as well as a producer DaVinChe raps and sings on the majority of tracks, he explains it as 'finally finding his own voice'. He released promo track 'Ready To Go' featuring UK rapper Baby Blue in early 2011, which features as a bonus track on 'Open Minded'.
