MUSIC: DAVINCHE - JAY-Z Money (Video)

DaVinChe releases the first promo track 'Jay-Z Money' featuring Sophie Sof, from his debut album 'Open Minded'which is released in Spring 2012. The producer, singer/songwriter and rapper from Sidnam, South East London is best known for his 'grime' producer-credentials. DaVinChe has been making music for over a decade and has worked with a plethora of UK talent including Tinie Tempah, Kano, Tinchy Stryder, Wretch 32 and Cleo Sol to mention a few.

Considered as one of the pioneers of Grime music alongside artists such as Wiley and Kano, at the age of 16 DaVinChe found himself in a unique position amongst his musical peers, his role as a producer during the 'golden-age' of Grime. He produced the cult instrumental 'Buzz Lightyear' and 'Eyes on You' for Crazy Titchand in 2005, produced a track that would change the face of Grime music; Kano's 'P's and Q's'. The track was Kano's debut solo release on 12” vinyl and became a massive underground hit. DaVinChe's relationship with Kano was steadfast, and he ended up producing several tracks for album 'Home Sweet Home' including 'Brown Eyes'.
Tipped by Wire Magazine at the time as a 'talent to watch' and picked out by underground trend magazine's such asRWD, DaVinChe continued to break boundaries with this new sound, by infusing it with other genres popular at the time. He went on to produce Sadie Ama's 'Let Me Take You Away' and Tinchy Stryder's 'Something About Your Smile' and 'Breathe' and Tinie Tempah's 'Tears'. DaVinChe used his skills as a trained guitarist and pianist to provide the grime element for ‘Urban Classic’, the BBC’s ground-breaking attempt to fuse grime with jazz and classical. 'Grime has given me a unique sound to work with, a different way of putting music together'
For the past year DaVinChe has been honing his debut album, a mix of various genres and artists includingEtta Bond, Don Strapzy (Dru Blue), Kano, Cleo Sol, Parris Wright, Wretch 32 and Shola Ama. Becoming more involved with his music as an artist as well as a producer DaVinChe raps and sings on the majority of tracks, he explains it as 'finally finding his own voice'. He released promo track 'Ready To Go' featuring UK rapper Baby Blue in early 2011, which features as a bonus track on 'Open Minded'.
'Open Minded' is released in 2012.

Marger Ft Josh Osho
This Year

After the recent success of singles ‘Goonz’ (ft. Scrufizzer and No Lay) and ‘Shadows’ (ft. Molly), Marger is back with another massive tune taken from his highly anticipated Cheeky EP.  This time he has collaborated with south London singer / songwriter Josh Osho in the uplifting anthem ‘THIS YEAR’ which was recently premiered by MistaJam on 1xtra...

Marger was originally spotted by well known DJs Logan Sama and Tim Westwood, and his career has gone from strength to strength with his previous singles regularly being played on
KISS FM and BBC’s 1Xtra. He has toured with Wiley, headlined a sold out show in the Czech Republic, been featured on various compilations and gained countless support from reputable TV channels  MTV, Flava and AKA.

Since signing to Island Records this year, 20 year old Josh Osho has already worked with two members of the  Wu Tang Clan (Ghostface Killah and RZA)
on  his debut single Redemption Days and forthcoming album ‘L.I.F.E’.

Produced by  Sibling, ‘This Year’  combines the hard hitting lyrics of Marger with the emotive vocals of Josh. The track is a fusion of energetic Grime beats, Electro Synths and Pop sounds – appealing to a range of music lovers. It is due to take both the underground and commercial scenes by storm.   This Year music video has already been put into the production stage and is due to hit the TV screens in Christmas.

Following the influential Kushwave EP and Sneaky EP – Cheeky EP  is set for release in the New Year and showcases Marger’s true versatility as an artist.

Marger & Josh Osho – This Year is released 23  rd  Jan  on 360 Records

NEWS: K KOKE FREED FROM JAIL!

Roc Nation rapper K Koke was today acquitted of the attempted murder charge that has seen him locked away for six months.

After signing to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and building a substantial buzz with his EP Pure Koke Volume 2, Stonebridge rapper K Koke’s blossoming recording career was all of a sudden thrown into doubt in April when he was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder following a shooting in Harlesden train station. Koke vehemently protested his innocence and was today rewarded by being acquitted of the charges.
