G.R.E.Ed.S & THE REMEDIES FORCED TO RESCHEDULE READY EP

LAUNCH EVENT. 

READY EP TO BE RELEASED AS PLANNED DECEMBER 3RD

It is with a sad and heavy heart that G.R.E.Ed.S & The Remedies cancel the

Ready EP Launch Event scheduled for Saturday 3rd December. This is down to

the venue, Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, who have to our dismay cancelled all

weekend gigs with immediate effect. We are exploring this matter further

with the powers that be, after some confusing and misleading information

provided by the promoter and venue booker.

The Ready EP will be released as planned on December 3rd and in the spirit

of rhyme (and reason) we would like to honour our commitments by going

ahead with the planned signing at C.A.M.P. It’s free entry and any launch

ticket holders will be able to collect their copy of the EP on the night, so

bring your tickets along to get yours. We hope to see you there to celebrate

the launch of this impressive body of work that is sure to change the face of

spoken word!

In even better news, we are full steam ahead with plans for a bigger, brasher,

laugh in the face of adversity event in the New Year. Here are the new

We at Voila London hope that government officials are watching this video thinking that their pre-assumptions on Jaja Soze were totally wrong!

We believe that Britain needs more people like Jaja Soze to teach today's kids what real values are! 

Because who can teach the kids better? 

Plastic politicians or real community people who understand all ways of life?

Like we had previously mentioned, 

"Work with your community because the kids of today need guidance!" 

Whoever labelled the Younger generations of today's society as 'scum' is clearly not aware of the repercussions that this could have!

Today's younger generation is full of life, talented and unaware of their full potentials! 

UK is full of opportunities and young people need to embrace them and be guided by older generations!

Give some time to your community, it will benefit your children, grand children and great grand children!

I AM NOBODY'S NIGGER

I Am Nobody's Nigger

Rappers when you use the word "nigger" remember that's one of the last words Stephen Lawrence heard, so don't tell me it's a reclaimed word.

I am nobody's nigger
So please, let my ancestors rest in peace
Not turn in their graves in Jamaica plantations
Or the watery graves of the slave trade
Thrown overboard into middle passage
Just for insurance claims
They were chained up on a boat
As many as they could manage and stay afloat
Stripped of dignity and all hope
Awaiting their masters and European names
But the sick and the injured were dead weight to toss
And Lloyds of London would cover that cost.

I am nobody's nigger
So you can tell Weezy and Drake
That they made a mistake
I am nobody's nigger now
So you can tell Kanye and Jigga
I am not a nigger... in Paris
I'm not a nigger in London
