iRadio?
Apple makes a move on music streaming.
In recent years many companies have established themselves within the music industry by offering consumers the chance to pay a monthly subscription and gain access to a monumental music library.
This market has up until now been dominated by companies such as Spotify and Pandora and been mostly predominant in America, but Apple may change that.
In 2012, the number of people subscribed to music streaming services increased by 44%, registering 20 million users.
You can be sure that these are the kind of figures which would attract a media giant like Apple, who already generate the most retail sales for music through its iTunes music store.
Although it's mostly industry gossip at the moment, Apple is expected to launch iRadio later this year.
There are also rumours circulating that twitter may be planning to integrate programs such as soundcloud and iTunes with their website to allow users to stream music straight from twitter.
