Universal Music Strategic Marketing (UMSM) is launching a series of digital-only compilations designed to promote new and emerging signings across all the Universal Music Group labels.
Going under the Introducing brand, the first album in the series is released on March 14 and features tracks from artists including James Blake, Clare Maguire, Jessie J, White Lies and Jamie Woon.
The digital bundles will feature 13 tracks and have a retail price of £7.99. It is expected that three compilations under the Introducing umbrella will be released this year.
UMSM product manager Chris Douch said, “We’ve taken a little inspiration from Hype Machine and are offering fans a guide to the best new offerings across our labels. We’re hoping that the price point, the focus on digital and the mix of known and lesser-known new artists will attract buyers and allow us to develop something really worthwhile.”
